Associate Instrumental Music Conductor at Miami Arts Charter school Aleksandar Djuric was born in Serbia (former Yugoslavia) into a family of musicians. A violist, he completed high school and attended the Belgrade Music Academy for two years. He placed first in the National Viola Competition, followed by a second place finish the following year. He was then accepted into the European Youth Orchestra, with which he toured Europe.

After serving in the Yugoslav People’s Army during the War in Croatia, Mr. Djuric emigrated to New York City. There, he attended Julliard School of Music on a full scholarship. Upon graduation, he moved to Miami to play with the illustrious New World Symphony and received a full scholarship for graduate school at the University of Miami. Since then, he has performed and taught Viola and Violin all over South Florida with various chamber groups and orchestras.

Mr. Djuric began his teaching career in 2001 at South Miami K-8 Center Magnet program. He became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2009 and began at Miami Arts Charter School in 2010. He is also the owner of Ludilo Sound Design, where he composes and produces music for films, television shows and commercials and he also serves as Orchestra and Personnel director of Miami Summer Music Festival.
