With regard to dress code policies, the code provides a Vital Alert that states: "Students while on school grounds during the regular day, must refrain from wearing clothing that (a) exposes underwear or body parts in an indecent or vulgar manner, or (B) disrupts the orderly learning environment". The determination of what constitutes a disruption of a school program or what attire is inappropriate for school shall be made by the teacher, school employee and, ultimately, the principal.

Students must wear school-appropriate attire at all times and during school-sanctioned activities. No inappropriate graphics depicting or promoting the use of alcohol, tobacco, drugsviolence or other inappropriate content may be worn.

Arts Performance Attire

Arts performance attire policies are established based on standards typical in the performing arts. All students are expected to abide by dress policies as established in the school's respective performing and visual arts programs. Performance policies may include rules for costumes, hair color, hair styles, accessories, uniforms and all other attire at the sole discretion of the teacher or the administration. Students not in compliance may be excluded from performing pursuant to this rule.
